Sophia stood opposite the tall dark stallion, staring at the huge wings. "...W-Wow...You actually exist." She breathed out, running a hand through her hair. The stallion snorted, tilting his head and taking a small step towards the short woman. Sophia sucked in a breath through her teeth, she was never afraid of horses...But this? Oh boy. She held her hand out and he approached with confidence, curious and resting his muzzle in her palm. Sophia let out a nervous laugh, reaching up with her other hand to scratch his forehead and then run a hand up through his forelock. "Hey boy..." She looked to his wings and frowned. Maybe a saddle wouldn't be the greatest thing right this moment but she feared for his wings opening up and him sweeping her away.
Sophia rolled her eyes and walked to his side, but he stretched his wings out as she did and knocked her back. He looked so startled, whinnying and jumping away from Sophia who was laying on the floor. "...Right...Let me know when you decide to do that again." She groaned, getting back up to her feet.
The stallion flattened his ears as Sophia approached again and held his wings up again. "Okay hang on ha-" She grabbed a handful of mane and launched herself up onto his back. The stallion tossed his head and bolted. "WOAH!" She yelled.
The stallion stretched his large wings, stretching out his legs and letting the heavy thudding of his hooves penetrate and toss up the ground. Sophia tightened her grip, one hand resting on his neck and patting it as he decided to explore the vast cross-country course. She was hesitant, expecting him to fling open his wings and take off... But he didn't. She felt at ease, safe and felt he was feeling the same...
But...Why did he have to decide that the lake was the best idea? He stumbled in, Sophia leaning back and giggling with glee. This stallion was wonderful, so much energy and such expressive movement. He ran through the shallow waters, cutting across to the shore and leaping up. After what seemed like an hour, the stallion slowed down... They had reached the far lands of the stable land and it was a wheat field... The sun was low, sweat thick on his fur. Sophia slid off, patting and rubbing his thick neck. "Good boy..." She grinned, closing her eyes as he buried his face into her stomach in an attempt to scratch himself. "I hope I get to see more of you..."
